My friends kept breaking their plastic darts for their new dart board so I decided to redesign my own darts and print them on my 3D printer. I came up with and tested a few designs.

I started off making the entire dart and after finding out that It was not dense enough I scaled down to the bach half that would then thread into the grip of the throwing dart.

This design was much better but still need tweaking. The dart would not always fly straight and the fins would break off with no way of repairing them. So I designed a back half that had detachable fins so if they did break you can just print whatever broke instead of a printing an entire new dart half.

Once I found out the detachable design worked I came up with a 6 finned dart half that proved to be the best design out of all and what we ended up using for dart replacements.
